Tri sprintec: This combination medicine is usually associated with regulalr periods. Since that is not happening to you a return visit to your gynecologist is needed.

Yes: All prescription birth control pills are reliable as long as taken regularly as directed, which means every 24hrs +/- 3 hours or so. Progesterone pills are more finicky & must be taken consistently. We usually warn patients that it takes 3 months for your body to get used to pill (ironic, right?). So you can expect irregular spotting during that time. After that, if still irregular, go see ur doc.
