Does it matter that i went from taking trinessa (norgestimate and ethinyl estradiol) to trisprintec and my periods are off a little bit? does switching bcp make any difference?

Same drug: Trinessa (norgestimate and ethinyl estradiol) and Trisprintec are generic equivalents meaning they are the same drug with the same amount of Estrogen and Progesterone. They are just two different brands sold by different companies. It sounds like you are just experiencing breakthrough bleeding that coincidental to a brand change. Breakthrough bleeding is common an usually resolves on its own
