A member asked:

If placenta is 3.4cm from os at 28w can the formation of lower segment and stretching of isthmus cause bleeding or is it high enough not to cause it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Bleeding risk is low: The edge of your placenta is likely to remain away from the internal os of your cervix and possibly to "move up" as your pregnancy progresses. Therefore the possibility of placental site bleeding seems very low.
