No cramping per se: Placenta previa is not known to cause cramping of its own. Plus, only much later in pregnancy will it become clear, whether what seems a placenta obstructing the inner opening of the cervical canal will remain in that place and not give entirely way. Especially if there is no bleeding this location of the placenta would not be the first item on a list of potential causes of cramping.

It doesn't : Placenta previous do not cause cramping. One could have a placenta previa and also be cramping though. This is concerning and would increase the risk for bleeding.
