Sounds normal: Based only on this one piece of limited information the placenta is in a normal location. We look for the placenta to be more than 2 cm away from the cervical os. Yours sounds normal. If a c section is planned I would clarify with the doctor the rationale and make sure all is explained to you to your satisfaction
