See ObGyn: My impression from your description would be one baby and the "solid circle" is the normal yolk sac where the fetal pole initially comes from and is basically what keeps the baby growing during early pregnancy until the placenta takes over. You need another ultrasound - at 7wks4days if it is twins both babies and both heartbeats should be able to be seen with a translational scan.
