No: It sounds like the lesion is noted in the mirror and otherwise is not painful? Even if it is somewhat painful, an ER visit can be avoided unless you are having trouble swallowing or you've had sudden onset of severe pain/fever. Call your physician who should be happy to see you for a scheduled acute visit (timing dependent on other symptoms). Can also consider a virtual consult here.
