I recently had my tonsils and uvula taken out, i have a large flap of skin left on one side but the other side theres nothing, did he miss a tonsil?

No: It sounds like you had a uppp or uvulopalatopharyngoplasty, a surgery for obstructive sleep apnea. It is not that unusual for the sutures on one side to pull away, as the closure sometimes has to be tight to pull all the tissue together. When that happens one side of your throat could look different than the other, more of a "pocket" where the tonsil used to be. Ask your surgeon about it.

UPPP: It sound like you had a procedure called uppp where they remove the tonsils and uvula for sleep apnea. Check with your ENT surgeon to be sure that the air way is clear.
