Surgical shoe...: If i was just shaving down a bone spur, i would put you in a surgical shoe to accommodate the surgical dressing. After the first dressing change - probably into a much smaller dressing - you may be able to return to regular shoe gear. Ask your surgeon for a time line. Pain should be minimal (to possibly moderate) and easily controlled.
