Lumps/nodes: These sound like lymph nodes which can occur at these sites behind the ears or at the base of the neck. Often it may be related to a scalp condition (skin infection, sores) if there are no other signs of these in your lower neck areas. Hair products, dyes, ?tattoos are other considerations possibly causing this swelling. F/U with MD if not resolving over a few weeks.
