Sorry, but...: I can't answer that question because the assumption you make that "going into starvation mode" makes you "store fat" is incorrect. (Maybe I misunderstood what you were asking.) A very low calorie diet may slow down your metabolism as a protective mechanism against starvation but, if you're burning off more calories than you take in, you will lose weight (including fat).
