Kidney stone: Yes, chronic urinary tract obstruction from an impacted kidney stone can cause kidney damage. Please drink plenty of fluids, strain all urine, and see your physician for a urology referral if not already done to prevent future problems like infection, more stones, hypertension, and kidney failure. Hopefully, it is only a partial obstruction, which isn't as serious, but still worrisome.
