No risk of rabies: Rabies vaccine given to dogs is a killed virus vaccine, so there is no risk. I believe you should not assume it is a syringe used on dogs, but perhaps one used by humans to inject drugs. In that case you should seek attention from urgent care for testing and prevention "as if" it were a needle stick from a contaminated syringe used by humans. Thanks for trusting HealthTap!
