Fillings: Your fillings can be done without numbing you, however this is not recommended for most people. Dental anesthetics safe and last only a short while. Talk to your dentist about your concerns before your fillings.

Possibly: Depends on how deep they are and your pain tolerance. In addition, Nitrous oxide can be used to help with the discomfort. Realistically billions of injections have been given with a very, very low rate of paresthesia. There are no major nerves in the area under your nose. Your fears are unwarranted.
