How long after bilateral tkr should there be significant pain/discomfort?

Depends: Hopefully at the age of 32 this is not about you. Knee surgery is more painful than other joint replacements, and usually requires a hospital stay of 3-4 days mostly for pain control. Pts are walking immediately but do take pain pills for the first 6 wks. Two at one time is difficult, and is only indicated for certain individuals and special needs.
