9-12 months: Navel - belly-button - piercings take about tue longest to heal of all the sites. Allow 9 months, but 12 months is better. Hope that helps

Agree with Dr. Jones: Until that wound heals - it is open and a portal that is waiting for an infection. Need to wait 9 to 12 months as that is average healing time.
