Be evaluated: I would have it looked at for a specific diagnosis. What you describe as a sprain to your thumb may have been more serious than that and may be causing persistent symptoms. A " gamekeepers thumb" is just one example if an injury that may seem quite benign, but can cause chronic problems unless it us taken care if.
