Needs to be checked: It is difficult to say what the knot on your head is due to without a detailed history as to how long you have had the knot,is it painful to touch,has it grown bigger or same size since you noticed it.And Physica Exam. suggest you get it checked by your PrimaryCareDoctor Knots in head are usually benign like Cysts,or hard knots due to tumors originating in periosteum or the bone.or infections
