Possibilities: Proper diagnosis requires examination. Possibilities are swollen lymph nodes pressing on the nerve in the area, blood clot in a vein in the area, or a hernia. The pain could also be a referred pain from a nerve in the back being irritated or a hip problem. You need to go see your doctor and have the cause of your pain evaluated.
