Without seeing : Hard to guess. In my practice I use a rmascooe which allows better visualization than the naked eye as it magnifies a lesion. When in doubt, biopsy is the answer for definitive diagnosis.

I see Spots.: Most likely, it is a bruise. However, take a picture and give it a week to see if the bruise like spot fades away.

Traumatic bruise: Bottom of toe frequently traumatized. To assure lesion is not developing, warm soaks daily will result in resolution If progression noted then possible lesion responsible and bx needed. Lesions ie squamous, basal or even melanoma start with ulceration or increasing nodularity. At that point consult to be considered.
