Have a small, light brown spot on the bottom right of my big toenail. recently worn tight boots. toe doesn't hurt at all if pressed. fungus or bruise?

Nail bruise: Redness at the base of a nail most probably is from trauma of some kind to the nail. If there is a history of wearing tight boots or shoes, there can be a bruising of the nail base.

Bruise: Mostly likely a bruise. It should start to grow clear from the base of your nail going forward. If not see a podiatrist for a better diagnosis and treatment.
