Depends. : You have developed an auto antibody to your own thyroid tissue. Over time, this may cause excess thyroid hormone to be secreted (hyperthyroidism), but eventually if it becomes too damaged, you may develop thyroid deficiency (hypothyroidism). Check in with provider to look for signs of either condition.
