Need to see it: A lump on the tongue could be a number of things, most of which are benign. I think it is best you have it looked at. Unfort I cannot make a diagnosis without seeing it.

See your PCP: Some conditions like tongue problems such as soreness, pain of the tongue may require further assessment; tests and your doctor may schedule a follow-up appointment or refer you to a specialist to determine a diagnosis. See your PCP first for evaluation.
