Possible tumor: A lesion as described fits the picture of a jugular lymph node adjacent to the larynx. If no lesion of the thyroid on palpation, one must consider a lesion of the hypopharynx. Many of these tumors are no larger than 2-3 mm and can metastasize to nodes. Should be seen by a surgeon and if considered a significant node, bx recommended. If adenoCa, RT to node area and hypopharynx employed.
