BV: BV usually causes a yellow, brownish discharge. Dark brown discharge is usually old blood. It sounds like you just had a pelvic exam where testing was done. You could ask the doctor who did the exam if any other problems or infections were noted.

Yellow discharge since removal of embed IUD a few months ago. First culture said group b and second said BV. First round of flagyl did nothing but got prescribed it again. US showed inflamed tubes. Should I push for another antibiotic or take flagyl?
