Im having not a lot but some brown thick discharge after using a gel for bv called metronidazole. a few days ago it seemed like the symptoms were clearing but now it hurts when i go to the toilet and it hurts down below too?

You might have a yeast infection, which is a possible side effect of metronidazole gel. Or you also have an STD, since STDs are more common in women with BV. Return to your doctor for further examination and testing. Good luck.
