Trust is important: Psychiatrists usually don't prescribe pain medication for foot disease. So it is important that you see a specialist in that area. Psychiatric care is very personal and trust is an important component to getting the most from your treatment. Try discussing your concerns with your doctor and if these feelings persist, consider getting a second opinion.

I'm sorry that: you're having trust issues with your provider. A good fit is important in the doctor patient relationship. With respect to your pain management issue, that’s an unrelated subject where you’d need to follow up in person with pain management, not psychiatrists where we do not treat pain related illnesses. Good luck!
