Wisdom teeth: There are many variables. At age 18, you may be getting wisdom teeth and the emergence of these teeth may be problematic, see the dentist. Also the dentist will check for any other conditions, such as decay or periodontal issues. At age 18, it is probably wisdom teeth.

Many reasons: If you have a toothache, you may have a deep cavity, root canal or advanced gum disease. A tooth pain won't go away without treatment and the infection may spread to your jaw, cheeks, sinus and to other areas of your head and neck. You can use NSAID OTC or Tylenol (acetaminophen) for pain control. See a dentist ASAP for assessment.
