Important: First, are you 47 years old? I mean no offense but 50% of ages given on HealthTap are untrue. If 47 is correct the risks are torsion (twisting) and rupture. Any cyst larger than 6 cm. is a significant risk for these , both of which require emergency surgery. AT age 47 the chance of cancer, while not terribly high, is still plausible. Hence, needs removal. Good wishes.
