Speak with your Dr: Duloxetine must be discontinued gradually by tapering the dose to avoid withdrawal("discontinuation")symptoms. Some patients are more likely than others to experience withdrawal symptoms. If tapered to quickly withdrawal is more likely. Anxiety, insomnia, agitation, electric shocks and a host of other symptoms are common in withdrawal. The treatment is to increase the dose and taper more slowly.
