Babies do feel pain.: Even though some religious ceremonies do circumcision without anesthesia the baby still feels pain. I feel it is better to use a local anesthetic.

Yes: To do that without some sort of pain reduction is unwise and even immoral.

I consider it so: Many years ago we did not use a local for fear it would somehow injure the nerves and prevent normal function later.We got over it, and now i only do it without by special request.(last time it was a doctors kid after we started using locals, ? Odd but true).
