A member asked:

How could mercury affect a child's health?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Toxic: Exposure to large amounts of mercury all at once, or moderate amounts over a long period of time can affect the nervous, immune, digestive systems, lungs, kidneys, and it could affect normal growth & development. It can even be fatal if the exposure is significant enough. If you think a child has been exposed, he/she needs to see a doctor right away!
