A member asked:

Does mercury have any positive effects on health?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: It is famously toxic in big doses and "safe doses" and recommendations about eating fish are set to err on the assumption that it's more dangerous than we can show. It is not a micronutrient though other metals are.
