Alone, not very: But when used with other techniques such as prolonged exposure, deep muscle relaxation, cognitive rehearsal, thought stopping, can be very helpful in relieving some of the symptoms that bother folks with OCD. Should not be used simply alone. Consult a provider with experience in the evidence based treatment of anxiety disorders such as OCD.
