What is apixaban used for?

Apixaban: To reduce risk of stroke & blood clots in people with Atrial Fibrillation not due to heart valve problems.

↓ blood clotting: Apixaban inhibits clot formation. Rxed because of evidence/concern of forming clots inside blood vessels, not just at blood vessel breaks, thus bleeding is ↑ed because slows clotting at all locations.
