What are focal fibrosis and focal nodular hyperplasia of the liver and why would they both be in my biopsy? and could they have not gone deep enough?

Was biopsy directed?: Liver biopsies are performed for a variety of reasons--pre-treatment, post-transplant, assess progression of disease, evaluate known or suspected lesions. Liver fibrosis is scarring. In what context was the liver biopsy required & what's your diagnosis? Are you consuming alcohol, taking birth control, have known liver pathology or hepatitis, what are your underlying co-morbidities?
