Your question?: yes fibrosis without disease modification can progress into cirrhosis however this process usually takes 30-40 years. with new HCV drugs, we expect 95-98% eradication rates so with early fibrosis and treatment in case of any progression, it is unlikely that you'll ever get to cirrhosis.
