Maybe: You will need to take it up to two weeks.Listen to your dentist. The augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) is a better choice in the mouth. One day will do nothing but about two weeks is much better. Wait and see and trust your dentist.

Tooth Infection: Antibiotics alone will not solve your problem. What exactly is the problem? A non vital nerve? A periodontal abscess? Your dentist many have to drain the abscess to promote healing, or may have to begin root canal therapy to remove the dead nerve and toxins within the tooth. The longer you wait, the worse the pain will get.

See a dentist ASAP: If you rely on antibiotics or other not a definitive treatment, the tooth infection always will come back. Dentist will treat a tooth infection by treating the cause and getting rid of the infection. Do not delay. See your dentist ASAP. Good luck.

Dental pain: You need to see a dentist and get the source of the pain or infection treated. Antibiotics won't fix your problem. If you antibiotics aren't working then just get the tooth treated with extraction or root canal, depending on what your dentist recommends. This is the only true way to fix your problem.

Wrong: It's wrong to assume that pills will cure your Dental Disease. Please stop procrastinating...call a Dentist. The tooth probably needs root canal treatment or extraction, not pills. Call now.

Endodontist: See your dentist. The tooth may require endodontics. Wisdom tooth? May require extraction.
