Farther: you take bp higher it is. legs is higher than arms. your difference in arms may be due to an error. if BP taken correctly in an md office, any value higher than 20 mm in r arm is of concern and see a cardiologist. may suggest blockage in l subclavian artery.

Position of arm/cuff: BP readings are not static but are dynamic. In my experience OMRON is the most accurate cuff whether using wrist or upper arm cuff. Position of the arm should be above heart level. The wrist cuff is easier to put on the arm correctly. The best way to be sure your cuff reads correctly is to bring it to your MDs office and check it's reading against that of your MDs.
