A member asked:

Does diazepam make hemorrhoids worst?

No, it shouldn't : Diazepam is a benzodiazepine, a type of drug which works as an anti-anxiety medication or a tranquilizer. It should not worsen hemorrhoids. The drugs which cause constipation, and thereby make hemorrhoids worse, are OPIATE PAIN KILLERS. These are drugs like Vicodin, Norco, (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) Codeine, morphine, Dilaudid, etc.

Maybe: Valium/ diazepam is reported to cause constipation in about 0.1% to 1%. Constipation could cause hemorrhoids to worsen.
