In my lyme disease panel the Elisa was positive, the western blot was negative. My doctor said Elisa false positives are common. Is this true and why?
I tested positive for a Serology Lyme ELISA so my blood was sent to a specialised lab where it tested negative on a C6 Lyme ELISA and therefore wasn't sent for a Western blot. Is the C6 ELISA more or less accurate? Does this mean Lyme or not? Thanks?

My dr. Did Western blot for Lyme. Both IGM and IGG came back positive. Have enough bands to diagnose according to the CDC. No Elisa. Is it ok?
I've been prescribed a month of antibiotics for possible Lyme disease (ELISA positive but Western Blot negative). If it's Lyme how long would it be before they starts to work? If I feel no better after a month - does that mean Lyme's unlikely? Thanks?
