Anxiety symptom: Pupils dilate during the 'fight or flight' response, which can alter perception and create a sense of of unreality. Short, shallow breaths can add to the effect. Diaphragmatic breaths can help. Breath in to fill the area behind your belly button ... short pause ... then breath out slowly. Hope this helps.

Episodes of: derealization or Jamais Vu may be due to temporal lobe seizures. If these last a few minutes and are not provoked see a neurologist (obtain an EEG)
