Panic Attacks: First I am very happy to hear that you have good insight into your symptoms. This is most likely a good old fashioned anxiety attack. And, nature has significant ways of protecting the fetus inside of you. It is very unlikely that your panic would harm the baby in any way.

Too Much Oxygen: During a panic attack, it can feel like you are not getting enough "air" though you may be breathing hard & fast. This is called "hyperventilation." and in fact, what's happening is that you are getting too much oxygen (o2) but not enough carbon dioxide (co2).
