ABSOLUTELY NOT: He already has it and his immunity prevents it from spreading on him. The same immunity protects him from getting a new hsv-1 from another person. Valacyclovir 2 Grams (2 pills) taken IMMEDIATELY at the first tingling (prodrome) of the next attack is by far the most effective therapy.
