I have been on norco now for 6 years from 4 to 6 a day and percoset after an accident when i fell on the ice and broke my femur. i want to get off and see if my need is mental or not i am almost too afraid not to take them?

Gentle wean: Hydrocodone & oxycodone aren't good long term on the liver. When was the last time your liver function (LFTs) were checked? Knowing what this # is is helpful with determining what 6 years of ingestion has done to your liver. A gentle wean over 5-6 months (cut out a dose each month) is probably what you'll need in order to come off of these without withdrawal issues. It is quite do-able.
