Small abcess got root canal abcess is way bigger he put me on clindamycin so does that mean if the infection goes away the retreated root canal worked?

Maybe.: Unless the root is fractured. Sometimes the antibiotic will mask the problem. The tooth needs to stand on it's own. Time will tell if the re-treatment has worked.
