LOOK FOR A LOCAL: look for a local family physician,most of the are comfortable prescribing medication that have need started and initiated by a psychiatrist. most of the are comfortable to start a simple anti depression medication and monitor the effect. most of them will preferred their patient to be seen by a psychiatrist often for a follow up and to monitor progress. good luck
