i have a friend whose 5 year old son has been battling stage 4 nb. he's had surgery, radiation, chemo , stem cell trans. liklihood of survival/ cure?

Neuroblastoma: Review of studies: Children with NB younger than 1 year of age have better survival rate than older children. Those older than 1 year age at the time of diagnosis with disseminated disease, unfavorable biologic and histologic markers also do poorly. Long term survival rates about 40%. Consult pediatric oncologist is a must.
