Can change quickly : I don't know why your doc checked liver function tests. Obviously the one ordering this lab is best to interpret its meaning for you. That aside, an isolated, slightly elevated LFT value has little significance on its own. Taking Tylenol (acetaminophen) or drinking alcohol can temporarily bump one of these values. If your doc believes it to be significant, he/she will reorder the lab and then reevaluate.
