Recheck: The child should be re-examined. Most of the time in this circumstance a physical exam will show a problem.

Crying: Auxillary temps are not accurate in the age they should be taken rectal or even via the ear thermometer is better. Check to see if she is teething, but she may need to be re-examined to have her ears rechecked. Also make sure her stomach is not distended and if her urine does not have a foul smell. Bottom line call the office again to see if there is anything else that needs to be done.
